In South Korea, thousands of people turned out for rallies today, calling for the arrest of the ousted president Park Geun-hye.

There was a heavy police presence, as it was feared that clashed might erupt as a smaller number of her supporters also gathered in nearby streets.

Ms Park was forced from office on Friday, after judges unanimously upheld parliament's decision to impeach her over her role in a corruption scandal.
