Defence Minister expresses desire to build friendly ties with neighbours
Khawaja Muhammad Asif says Pakistan's desire for peace should not be misconstrued as its weakness.
Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has expressed Pakistan's desire to establish durable peace and peaceful ties with its neighbors, including Afghanistan and India.
Addressing a function of District Bar Association in Sialkot, he said no one should construe our desire of peace as our weakness.
The Minister said establishment of military courts has become demand of the day and vital to cope with terrorism.
He said the country is passing through an extra ordinary circumstances and was in dire need of making extra ordinary measures to tackle internal and external challenges.
Khwaja Asif said the government is committed to weed out terrorism from the country and our security forces have broken the nexus of terrorism.
The Minister also saluted the armed forces, law enforcing agencies and the masses for battling against terrorism.
