Resistance leadership condemns Indian forces' crackdown against civilians in Occupied Kashmir
In Occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership has condemned Indian forces' crackdown against civilians saying that Kashmiri people are being harassed in all possible ways.
The resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar today said that raids and crackdowns had become a regular feature in the occupied territory and the people of Kashmir were being held hostage for hours by Indian troops on gunpoint.
They urged the international human rights organizations to take notice of occupational forces' inhuman treatment towards the Kashmiri people.
Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar today condemned the harassment of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet leader Altaf Ahmad Shah by India's National Investigation Agency and termed the action as political vengeance.
Meanwhile, Indian police arrested Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik along with his associate, Noor Muhammad Kalwal in Shopian district, today.
The Mirwaiz-led Hurriyet forum in a statement strongly condemned the continued house detention of its Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
