Foreign Office rules out deployment of its troops in Qatar
In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson described reports appearing in some foreign press and media regarding deployment of Pakistani troops in Qatar as completely fabricated and baseless. He stressed that these false reports appear to be part of a malicious campaign aimed at creating misunderstanding between Pakistan and brotherly Muslim countries in the Gulf.

Qatar blockade: US urges Gulf states to ease restrictions
The United States has urged the Gulf countries to ease the blockade on Qatar. In a statement, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said blockade is causing unintended humanitarian consequences and affecting the US-led fight against the Islamic State militants.
1st round of French parliamentary election being held
In France, the first round of parliamentary election is being held to elect representatives for the 577 member National Assembly. More than forty 70 million people are eligible to vote in the first round of the parliamentary election. President Emmanuel Macron's centrist Republique en Marche party needs a clear majority in the National Assembly to enable him push through the reforms he has promised.
