During a meeting with a high level Chinese delegation in Islamabad, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal says development of economic zones is the most important phase of CPEC. The development of Gwadar is priority of the government and its master plan will be completed soon. The meeting reviewed the progress of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and preparations for 7th Joint Cooperation Committee. The Chinese delegates say every possible effort will be made to ensure the timely completion of CPEC projects. They appreciated Pakistan`s efforts in this regard.

Addressing the 44th session of OIC Foreign Ministers at Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz says Muslim Ummah must redouble its efforts to strengthen fraternal ties and mutual cooperation to ensure peace, solidarity and progress. Peace and development would remain elusive if the international community fails to address longstanding unresolved political issues, like Palestine and Kashmir. Pakistan has reiterates its commitment to work for peace, progress and prosperity of Muslim Ummah. Meanwhile, the OIC Contact Group reiterates its unequivocal support to the Kashmir freedom struggle and condemned Indian barbarism in Occupied Kashmir.
