Sartaj Aziz said the two leaders also agreed on the need to reduce tension on the Line of Control and the Working Boundary
Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz says there is realisation among leaders of Pakistan and India that durable peace in the region is not possible without addressing the core issues.
In an interview in Ufa, he said during meeting of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with his Indian counterpart, they agreed that progress on longstanding issues of Kashmir, Siachin and Sir Creek was necessary for sustainable peace.
He said it has been decided that Advisors on National Security of the two countries would meet to talk on each other's concerns and apprehensions so as to remove misunderstandings.
Sartaj Aziz said the two leaders also agreed on the need to reduce tension on the Line of Control and the Working Boundary.
