President calls for strengthening ties with Kyrgyzstan
Mamnoon Hussain terms CASA-1000 electricity project as vital in overcome energy shortage in Pakistan.
President Mamnoon Hussain has said Pakistan wants to further enhance its cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in energy, trade, economy, and transport sectors.
He was talking to a delegation led by Kyrgyz Minister for Economy Kojoshev Arzybed Orozbekovich in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The President said that CASA-1000 electricity project is vital and help overcome energy shortage in Pakistan. He said Pakistan wants connectivity among all the regional countries for which a proper planning is needed. He said Islamabad is taking steps to increase connectivity between South and Central Asia, and China.
Mamnoon Hussain said Central Asian countries can take benefit from the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
The President said Pakistan is progressing on the economic front and the international institutions are acknowledging this fact. He urged all the Asian countries to increase their mutual trade volume and coordination, which will certainly improve economy of the region.
Mamnoon Hussain hoped that Kyrgyzstan will support Pakistan for the membership of Eurasian Economic Union. He called for visits of high-level delegations of both the countries to further strengthen bilateral ties.
