Govt taking steps to promote tourism: AJK PM
Says all out efforts would be made to make upcoming tree plantation campaign successful.
Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said government is taking tangible measures to promote tourism industry in the state.
He expressed these views while chairing a high level meeting in Muzaffarabad on Wednesday about upcoming tree plantation drive in Azad Kashmir.
Raja Farooq Haider Khan said Azad Kashmir is enriched with natural resource and forests are playing a vital role in conserving natural beauty and promoting tourism.
He said all out efforts would be made to make upcoming tree plantation campaign successful.
The AJK Prime Minister directed the concerned authorities to take all departments, educational institutions and civil society on-board in this regard.
He also directed the Forest Department to take measures for conservation of forests on scientific basis.
AJK Forest Minister Sardar Mir Akbar, Chief Secretary Sikandar Sultan Raja and Secretaries of relevant departments were also present on the occasion.
