Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says the government has invested billions of rupees in the energy sector to end load-shedding and provide cheap electricity to consumers.
He was talking to Leader of the House in Senate Raja Zafar-ul-Haq in Islamabad today.
The Prime Minister said the government is making all-out efforts to overcome power and gas shortages in the country.
He said the confidence of the international financial institutions in Pakistani economy is a proof of successful policies for attaining long term economic stability.
Nawaz Sharif said increase in tax revenue increase in Foreign Exchange Reserves to over twenty billion dollars and reforms in energy sector have significantly contributed towards economic stability in the country.
He added that improvement in law and order situation has benefitted the business community at domestic and international level.
About the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the Prime Minister said completion of the projects would be a game-changer for the whole region.

According to official sources, the Ministry of Petroleum and natural resources is encouraging investment in oil and gas exploration sector.
Exploration activities have picked up momentum in recent times and some important discoveries are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in near future.
A total of eighty-two discoveries of oil and gas have been made over the last three years.
The production has already stated from forty-five out of the total discoveries while necessary work is in project over thirty-seven discoveries.

Sindh government is implementing fifty schemes costing over four billion rupees to promote culture, Tourism and preserve archaeological sites.
Our Karachi correspondent reports that these schemes include establishment of Sindh Cultural Heritage Institute in Karachi. Besides, cultural complexes and centers are also being established in Umarkot, Thatta, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Jamshoro, Tharparkar, Badin, Shikarpur and Jacobabad districts.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has introduced a number of reforms and initiatives to ensure access to quality health services.
According to official sources, the government has extended kidney transplant and dialysis facility to four major hospitals, including Lady Reading, Khyber Teaching Hospitals and Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar and Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad.
The facility has also been provided in district Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Swat and Mardan.
