The Senate resumed its session in Islamabad on Tuesday morning with Chairman Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari in the chair.

At the outset of the proceedings, the House through unanimous resolution expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of former Senator Mir Abdul Rehman Jamali.

The resolution moved by Leader of the House Raja Zafarul Haq, said Mir Abdul Rehman Jamali was a distinguished politician and seasoned parliamentarian. He was elected to the Senate from Balochistan and remained member of the House from 1991 to 1994 and made useful contributions to the discussion in the Senate . The resolution said services rendered by the former Senator will long be remembered. The House also expressed sympathy with the bereaved family. The Senate offered Fateha for the departed soul.
