Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says the government is committed to eradicating the menace of extremism and terrorism.

Talking to Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said Pakistan Air Force is playing a vital role in ridding the country of extremists.

The Prime Minister appreciated the role being played by PAF in Operation Zarb-e-Azb.

He said latest high-tech inductions in PAF would further enhance the capabilities of defense forces.

Professional matters relating to Pakistan Air Force also came under discussion during the meeting.

Meanwhile, Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah also called on Prime Minister and discussed professional matters relating to Pakistan Navy.
