Govt will meet financial requirements of Railways: Ahsan
Minister for Planning and Development says Karachi-Lahore-Peshawar rail track will be upgraded.
Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that the government will meet all financial requirements of Pakistan Railways in the next year’s development budget to ensure its revival.
He was talking to newsmen at Railways Headquarters in Lahore today (Monday) after holding meeting with management of Pakistan Railways.
Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique was also present on the occasion.
Ahsan Iqbal said Karachi-Lahore-Peshawar rail track will be upgraded under a new Chinese Investment Package.
The Minister said work on the up-gradation of Silk Route and Lahore Karachi Motorway will also be carried out to improve basic infrastructure in the country.
