AJK Cabinet meets in Muzaffarabad
AJK Cabinet slams HR violations in Occupied Kashmir.
AJK Cabinet at its meeting in Muzaffarabad today (Monday) strongly condemned the massive human rights violations of Indian forces in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and appealed the international community to take serious notice of state terrorism in the held territory.
AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed presided over the meeting.
The meeting adopted a resolution calling upon the United Nations‚ the European Union and OIC to play their decisive role in resolving the lingering Kashmir issue under UN Security resolutions‚ which is necessary for durable peace and prosperity of the nuclear South Asia.
The resolution demanded of the international community to take stock of genocide of Kashmiris‚ discovery of unidentified graves‚ extra judicial killings and harassment of women by Indian forces in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The cabinet also condemned expulsion of Kashmiri students and framing of sedition charges against them in Indian universities during recent Asia Cup Cricket Match for celebrating Pakistan's Victory against India and termed it on undemocratic and cowered act of Indian authorities.
Lauding the offer of Pakistan Government for admission of Kashmiri students in Pakistani institutions the cabinet expressed satisfaction over the role of Foreign Office in this connection.
