Pakistan, Afghanistan agree to use Quadrilateral Group to promote peace

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan remains committed to peace and stability in Afghanistan.
Talking to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in Astana, he said that terrorism remains a common threat to both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He said Pakistan and its forces are valiantly fighting the menace of terrorism and Pakistan has rendered immense human and economic sacrifice in the struggle in the recent years.
Nawaz Sharif said close cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan is important for eliminating the scourge of terrorism from our region.
The two leaders agreed to use Quadrilateral Coordination Group mechanism as well as bilateral channels to undertake specific actions against terror groups.
They also agreed to use Quadrilateral Coordination Group to promote peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan.
