Pakistan remains committed to peace and stability in Afghanistan: PM

Talking to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in Astan, he said  that terrorism remains a common threat to both Pakistan and Afghanistan. He said Pakistan and its forces are valiantly fighting the menace of terrorism and Pakistan has rendered immense human and economic sacrifices in the struggle in the recent years. Nawaz Sharif said close cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan is important for eliminating the scourge of terrorism from our region.

Meeting between the two leaders will help to address the misunderstandings in the past. Pakistan always wanted peace in the region. The sacrifices which Pakistan rendered against the war on terror are matchless.

Unprovoked firing by Indian army across the LoC- One civilian martyred

In Azad Kashmir, one civilian was martyred due to unprovoked Indian army firing from across the Line of Control in Rawalakot Sector today. According to ISPR, Pakistani troops befittingly responded and silenced the Indian guns. Police sources told Radio Pakistan that Indian army resorted to unprovoked firing from across the LoC that seriously injured Muhammad Shabir of Abbas Pur who was shifted to the nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries this afternoon.
