Dignified return of TDPs to native areas Govt’s top priority: Jhagra
Governor says govt has taken number of steps to ensure reconstruction and development of FATA.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said dignified return of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) of FATA to their native areas is the top priority of the government.
He was chairing a meeting of FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) to review the repatriation process of TDPs to their homes at Governor’s house in Peshawar on Friday.
Director General FDMA, Fayyaz Ali Shah gave a detailed presentation about prevailing situation of TDPs to participants.
They were apprised that the return of TDPs to their native areas is in progress successfully.
The Governor said people of FATA had rendered great sacrifices for peace of entire region and sovereignty and integrity of the country.
The Governor directed the concerned authorities to use all available resources for their assistance, rehabilitation and added that no callousness will be tolerated in this connection.
