Cyclone ASHOBAA moving towards west Oman coast
According to PMD, the danger for Pakistani coastal area is now over.
The Tropical Cyclone-ASHOBAA over the west Arabian Sea has moved westward during past six hours and now lies at about 700 km southwest of Karachi and 290 km east-northeast of Masirah Island of Oman.
The Tropical Cyclone is likely to intensify during next 12 hours and then weak gradually with moving mainly towards west Oman coast.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the danger for Pakistani coastal area is now over, but however due to high tidal flow the sea conditions are likely to remain rough along Sindh coast and very rough along Makran coast Pasni, Gwadar and Jiwani accompanied with gusty winds and maximum surge of 12 feet.
Cyclone Warning Centre Karachi has warned the fishermen of Balochistan not to venture in open sea till Thursday.
Under the influence of this system isolated rain and thundershowers of moderate intensity is expected in southwest Balochistan during next 24 hours.
All stakeholders and concerned authorities have been advised to keep themselves abreast about weather advisories.
