UN strongly condemns terrorist attack in Egypt
Council says terrorism constitutes one of the most serious threats to int'l peace, security.
The United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Egyptian city Rafah, in which ten soldiers were killed and several injured.
In a statement, the Council said that "terrorism constitutes one of the most serious threats to international peace and security."
It urged international community to actively cooperate with relevant authorities to track down the perpetrators, organizers, financiers and sponsors of the terrorist acts.
Meanwhile, an Egyptian military spokesman said that forty militants have been killed, following the attack at the Rafah checkpoint.
