BLAST

District Police Officer Chamman Sajid Mehmand was martyred in a bomb attack in Chamman today.

According to Police, over twelve persons, including police personnel, were also injured in the blast. The blast took place close to the vehicle of DPO Chamman.

Injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital Chamman for medical treatment.

Law enforcement agencies personnel cordoned off the area soon after the explosion.

CM-VISIT  

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah says the government wants to provide better health and educational facilities to people in province.

This he said during his visit to Memon Hospital in Karachi today. Syed Murad Ali Shah said besides government hospitals, financial assistance will also be continued to private hospitals.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister was informed that with the financial assistance of Sindh government and philanthropists’ health facilities are provided to the people in the hospital.

TRAINING  

The federal government has launched a six month technical training programme for tribal youth.

A spokesman of FATA Development Authority told our Peshawar correspondent that youth will be trained in Quantity Surveyor,  Civil Land and Draftsman,  Basic Computer course, AutoCad, Solar Panel and UPS Installation and Repairing.

Besides training, they will also be provided free boarding, lodging and monthly stipends.

Interested candidates have been asked to submit their applications in the office of agency coordination officer of their respective agency till the 19th of this month.

In occupied Kashmir, Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Gilani has expressed serious concern over the growing tension between Pakistan and India along the Line of Control.

In a statement in Srinagar, he said the unresolved Kashmir dispute has been a permanent threat to peace in South Asia.

Meanwhile, a prayer session was held in Srinagar to  pay tributes to Burhan Wani and his associates.

This was stated  by US State Department in a statement today.

TURKEY

Turkish government appliance to create new energy corridors to reach regions from Central Asia to the Middle East.

This was stated by president of the World Petroleum Council Jozsef Laszlo Toth at the 22nd World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul.

He said these energy corridors will play an important role to secure safe and economically viable access to markets from hydrocarbon.

Fifty energy ministers, high-level executives, international organizations and government leaders and experts from all areas of the industry and researchers are attending the Congress to collectively analyze and determine the future of petroleum sector.

TRUMP-PUTIN

US President Donald Trump has expressed the desire to work constructively with Russia.

In a statement, he said this is time to move forward and both countries can work together on some areas.

He also said he had not discussed US sanctions imposed on Russia relating to Ukraine and  interference in the 2016 election.

He said nothing will be done until the Ukraine and Syrian problems are solved

MIGRANTS

Bodies of nineteen Egyptian migrants have been found near Jaghboub desert in south of the Libyan port city of Tobruk.

Red Crescent Spokesman said the bodies of migrants were in state of decomposition.

He said it appears the migrants died when their truck in which they were being smuggled into the country overturned.
