Seven Central European countries have called on the European Union to accelerate the accession of Montenegro and Serbia to the bloc.     

Foreign ministers and deputy foreign ministers of Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia and Croatia met in Budapest to discuss issues including migration and the situation in the western Balkans and Ukraine. 

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told a news conference in the country's capital today that if the process is not sped up, the entire Central European region will face serious security challenges.
