Prime Minister's Adviser Engineer Amir Muqam says the Luwari Tunnel will be completed by March next year at all costs.

Talking to newsmen during a visit to the Luwari Tunnel site in Sunday, he said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed to complete the tunnel in March instead of December next year.

Amir Muqam said the project would bring a revolution in the life of the people of Chitral. The tunnel will also facilitate the transportation of local products to markets across Pakistan and abroad thereby improving the economic conditions of the people and the area.  

The twenty-seven billion rupees project consists of two tunnels of eight point six and one point nine kilometers and four bridges.

Amir Muqam said the government is also constructing Chitral-Gilgit Road, which will promote tourism in this part of the country. 

He said the government is also working on feasibility of linking Chitral with Central Asian Republics via Afghanistan.
