600 civilians evacuated from Homs
UN and Red Crescent deliver relief supplies.
In Syria‚ over 600 civilians have been evacuated from the rebel-held Old Quarter of the central Syrian city of Homs.
The UN and Syrian Red Crescent teams also managed to deliver relief supplies to the area besieged by government forces for more than a year.
The evacuees were brought out by the United Nations and Syrian Red Crescent on the third day of an operation‚ under an agreement between the United Nations and the Syrian government.
