 MESSAGE

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said the constitution of Pakistan protects the fundamental rights of all citizens without any discrimination. 

In his message on the Constitution Day, he said this lays the foundation of a strong and unified federation.

Felicitating the nation on the constitution day, he said this day signifies efforts and contributions of all those citizens and leaders who worked tirelessly for a Constitution legitimized by national consensus.   

He said it is also a day to pay homage to all those Pakistanis who sacrificed for democracy and rule of law. He said as a nation, we must all understand that the supreme law of the land must be affirmative, inclusive and participatory.   

He said it is now upon us to ensure that no effort to deface the democratic, parliamentary and federal nature of our Constitution succeeds.

He said the tradition of celebrating the Constitution Day will not only reinforce amongst us the spirit to uphold the supremacy of the Constitution, but will also educate our future generations the importance of democracy and democratic governance.

Talking to Air Chief Sohail Aman who called on him in Islamabad, Prime Minister said government will ensure provision of all necessary resources for further advancement of Pakistan Air Force.         

Appreciating the role of PAF in safeguarding the air frontiers, prime minister said our air force has invariably played a crucial role in the national defense.     

Air Chief briefed prime minister regarding professional and operational preparedness of PAF.

Minister of State for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb says PTI should participate in process of electoral reforms.

In a statement in Islamabad on Monday, she said PTI chief Imran Khan wants to pressurize the institutions.

She said PTI has not been attending the session of parliament regularly.

Participating in a dialogue at National Press Club in Islamabad today, Minister of State for Information said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed to take comprehensive measures for safety and security of  journalists and media workers.

The minister said all the stakeholders should participate in the process for preparation of the bill on  protection and welfare of the journalists.

She said protection and welfare of journalists is responsibility of the government.

Minister for Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain has emphasized the need for enhanced research in the realm of science and technology.

He was addressing a workshop  titled "Application of Robotics Technology for Industrial Development in Pakistan" in Islamabad on Monday.

The Minster said China Pakistan Economic Corridor has opened up new vistas of opportunities in science and technology from which the entire region can benefit.

A meeting of Parliamentary sub committee on electoral reforms is in progress in Islamabad with Minister for Law Zahid Hamid in the chair.

The Secretary election commission and other officials are also attending the meeting.

In Occupied Kashmir the  Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism  martyred four more Kashmiri youth on Monday.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops killed the youth during a violent military operation in Keran area of Kupwara district.

Indian forces killed eight youth  and injured around two hundred when they opened fire on demonstrators protesting against the sham parliamentary elections in Badgam, Srinagar and Gandarbal districts, on Sunday.

Foreign ministers from the Group of Seven industrialized nations have gathered in Lucca city of  Italy to discuss chemical attack and US strikes in Syria.

Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano said Europe's  support for the U.S. military strikes against Syria has contributed to a harmony between the United States and its partners.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is also attending the  meeting of G-7 foreign ministers.
