Prof. N.D. Khan (Leader, PPP):
It is good news that the incumbent government is celebrating Constitution Day after a long time. We should have to follow and ensure the effective implementation of the constitution. All the political parties in the leadership of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto with the mutual consensus formulated constitution in a refined form in 1973. In my opinion, the constitution must be revised after sometimes and certain mandatory reforms should also be made. The government should serve the people of the country in the light of constitution.
Chaudhary Mehmood Bashir (Leader, PML-N):
The reforms or amendments are made in the constitution with the mutual consensus of all the political parties. The constitution is like a pious document for a country. Even the head of State cannot make a decision that is against the constitution. Some politicians describe the constitution according to their own interests. The credit for formulation of precise constitution goes to Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Two-Third majority is required for any amendment required to make in the constitution in National Assembly and the Senate. The amendment can never be made on the will of any individual.
