A Turkish delegation comprising former parliamentarians, philanthropists and educationists called on National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Islamabad on Thursday evening.

Talking to the delegation, the Speaker underlined the need for enhanced interaction between the parliamentarians and people of both the countries for further cementing the fraternal relations.

The Speaker commended the role of Turkey in October 2005 earthquake in AJK and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and floods in 2010.

The leader of the delegation said his country will continue its unflinching support and cooperation to Pakistan in diverse fields.

He said Turkish institutions would welcome Pakistani students desirous of studying in Turkey in medicine, law, engineering and arts.
