Govt will provide relief assistance to rain, flood affected people in Balochistan: Liaquat

Balochistan Government is making all out efforts to provide relief assistance to the rain and flood affected people in the province.

Addressing a news conference in Quetta, spokesman of provincial government Liaquat Shahwani said that 350 million rupees have been released to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority to deal with the situation emerged after heavy rainfall and floods.

He said that eight people lost their lives and seventeen others were injured in rains and flood related incidents in Balochistan.

He said that Pak Army along with district administration is fully engaged in rescue and relief activities in affected areas.

Shuttle train service launched between Quetta, Sibi 

A shuttle train service has been launched between Quetta and Sibi to take stranded passengers to their destinations due to suspension of road connectivity after heavy rains and flood in Bolan area.

Pakistan Railways’ sources told Radio Pakistan Quetta that a shuttle train transported four hundred passengers from Sibi to Quetta last evening while another train will leave Quetta for Sibi at 10 am today.

The shuttle service will continue its services till the restoration of the road link between Quetta and Sibi.
