TENDER NOTICE

(JANITORIAL SERVICES)

Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) requires the services of reputable/experienced firms to carry out Janitorial Services at its Headquarters located at Constitution Avenue, G-5/1, Islamabad.

Interested firms / companies registered with Income Tax / GST department having at least five years experience may visit the premises on any working day during the office hours and obtain bidding documents and other related information from the office of undersigned or download from the website of PBC www.radio.gov.pk.

Sealed tender on the prescribed form alongwith earnest money of Rs. 50,000/- in the shape of bank draft may be submitted till 11:00 a.m on 30-05-2018 in the office of the undersigned which will be opened on the same day at 11:30 a.m in the presence of representatives of the participating firms.

PBC reserves the right to reject any or all the bids in accordance with PPRA Rules.

Subject:- Terms and Conditions for Provision of Janitorial Services at PBC Hqrs, NBH, Islamabad.

(i) The equipment / accessories and all cleaning materials and other items shall be supplied by the contractor at his own cost.

(ii) The contractor will keep the premises (including rooms, wash rooms, corridors, stairs, porch &drive ways etc.) in clean and tidy condition and will not increase the rates during the contract period.

(iii) The contractor will provide and run the services through his employees and will not sublet contract to any other person /firm. In case of subletting, the contract will be cancelled and the Security Deposit will be forfeited accordingly.

(iv) The authorized representatives of PBC will check the performance regularly. If the quality of the work / equipment / stuff is found substandard, the PBC Committee may impose fine which will be deducted from the monthly payment.

(v) The janitorial staff will be in neat and clean uniform and will also be security cleared by the relevant authorities.

(vi) The service will run on all the week days. The staff requirement in each shift will be decided by the Controller. However, at least eight workers must be present all the time in the General shift (7:30 a.m to 3:30 p.m) and two in the evening shift. (3:30 p.m to 11:30p.m) (including weekly off days and other holidays).

(vii) All Government taxes / GST etc. will be paid by the contractor.

(viii) The Electricity & Water will be provided by PBC free of cost. However, misuse of this facility will not be allowed in any case.

(ix) The earnest money of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand) of the successful bidder will be treated as Security Deposit. This money will be refundable only on termination of contract.

(x) The contract will be for a period of one year which may be extended further on the terms & conditions agreed upon if the standard of services is found satisfactory.

(xi) In case of any loss/theft caused to the PBC due to any negligence of the janitorial staff, the contractor shall be responsible to make good the same.

(xii) The employees of the contractor shall always remain his employees and under no circumstance whatsoever shall be considered to be the employees of PBC or claim any employer –employees relationship with the PBC.

(xiii) The contractor will be bound to pay the salary to his employees regularly in first week of each month and pay all employees related contribution to the concerned departments.

(xiv) Any extra money or overtime due to any extra conditions, or any other law and order situation, and working on gazzetted holidays, shall not be payable by PBC.

(xv) The Security staff of PBC will check the janitorial staff physically before leaving the premises as per rules. The Security Staff will also check thoroughly the equipment and other belonging / disposable garbage etc. at the exit point of the premises.

(xvi) PBC Management reserves the right to terminate the contract without assigning any reason by serving one month notice.
