A high level meeting was held in Quetta on Friday to review security arrangements during the month of Muharram-ul-Haram in Balochistan.

Provincial Home Secretary Akbar Hussain Durrani presided the meeting.

The meeting decided hate speeches and displaying weapons would be banned.

Pillion riding would be suspended on 9th and 10th Muharram while routes of processions would be completely sealed besides, processions of Muharram would be monitored through CCTV cameras.

It was also decided that armed forces would remain stand by on 9th and 10th Muharram .

The meeting appealed to religious scholars to help law enforcement agencies in ending sectarianism and establish peace in the province.
