Pakistan becomes a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation after signing Memorandum of Obligations. The document was jointly signed by the Foreign Ministers of six SCO member states, Secretary General SCO and Pakistan’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has emphasized the need for leaving behind the legacy of peace and amity for the future generations and not the toxic harvest of conflict and animosity.

Shanghai Cooperation Organization is a big entity. It is a positive development that Pakistan has become the permanent member of this organization. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed the Heads of State Council of the SCO and expressed gratitude to the member countries for supporting Pakistan’s permanent membership. The main objectives of this forum are improving regional security, controlling drug trafficking and combating terrorism. Pakistan is diligently implementing the CPEC and it will benefit all the countries of the SCO.
Pakistan urges UN to force India to immediately end bloodshed in occupied Kashmir
India is seriously deluding itself if it believes that world is blind to Indian barbarities in Occupied Kashmir. Pakistan has called upon the UN Human Rights Council to impress upon India to immediately put an end to the mindless bloodshed in Occupied Kashmir and fulfil its international obligations. The call was made by Pakistan`s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Farrukh Amil at the 35th session of Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.
