Peace talks on divided Cyprus are to resume in Geneva on 28th of this month.

This was stated by U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric in a statement today.

He said Greek Cypriot leader Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci will both travel to Swiss city for negotiations.

Cyprus was split in a Turkish military intervention in 1974, triggered by a Greek-inspired coup.
