Prime Minister says Pakistan provides equal opportunities and enabling environment to women to serve the country in every field.


Disabled students have been placed in reserved quota in fourth and fifth phases of Prime Minister's Youth Laptop scheme, beginning on Monday.


Five people were killed in a road accident on Indus Highway near Sehwan on Sunday. 





Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif says Pakistan provides women with equal opportunities and an enabling environment to serve the country in every field.


In his message on 50th death anniversary of Madar-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, he said the way Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah stood beside her brother Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah during the entire freedom movement is a great example of perseverance and steadfastness.


The prime minister said for her struggle, we draw lessons of sacrifice, and unconditional support for a noble cause.


Nawaz Sharif said we should recommit ourselves to achieving a Pakistan envisioned by our founding father.                          



Fourth and fifth phases of Prime Minister`s Youth Laptop scheme begins on Monday.  


Two hundred thousand laptops will be distributed among students of public sector higher education institutions across the country.


Students enrolled in Ph. D , MS, M Phil, Masters and Undergraduate courses are eligible to apply.


Special quota is reserved for students pursuing two or three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering programmes at government colleges and the students of intermediate, graduate and post-graduate programmes at public sector colleges or universities of FATA and Islamabad Capital Territory.


Disabled students are also placed in the reserved quota to benefit from the scheme.


Students can register their profiles by 30th of September at pmnls.hec.gov.pk.



Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique says Karachi-Peshawar Railway Line will be upgraded under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.


In a tweet message, he said that a high level delegation of China National Railway will arrive in Pakistan on Tuesday to finalize terms and conditions of the upgradation.


The Minister said that after upgradation of the Railway Line, the speed of trains will reach up to one hundred sixty kilometers per hour.


He said that all railway crossings will be eliminated by underpasses and flyovers.



Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited submarine underpass in Karachi on Sunday and inspected the construction work.


He directed to complete the construction work by next month.



Five people were killed and four injured in a road accident at Sehwan Jamshoro Indus Highway near Lucky Shah on Sunday morning.                    



Meanwhile Three police man drowned when a boat capsized in Indus River near Ghazi Ghat Bridge in Dera Ghazi Khan.


A spokesman of Dera Ghazi Khan Police told our Multan’s correspondent that during exercises the police boat was pulled in a water whirlpool due to which it capsized in river.


Six police personnel were on board when it fell down in the fast river water waves. Three of them were rescued by Rescue teams.



In Occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership says the authorities have turned Kashmir into a war zone on the first death anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Wani.


The resistance leaders, in a statement in Srinagar said, the paranoia and panic that has gripped the territory on the martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani is an acknowledgment that even his memories are a threat to the regime despite its huge military control.



In Iraq, the government forces are poised to take full control of Mosul city.


Thousands of Iraqi security forces, Kurdish Peshmerga fighters, Arab tribesmen and militiamen, supported by US-led coalition warplanes have been involved in the battle to retake Mosul.



The second international footballer friendly exhibition match between Ronaldinho Seven and Giggs Seven will be played at Fortress Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.


Lahore will go into football history books with the visit of Brazilian football star Ronaldinho and a galaxy of former top notch of the game.


Earlier, Ronaldinho Seven beat Giggs Seven by 2-1 in first international exhibition match in Karachi on Saturday night.
