The forty-eighth death anniversary of Madar-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah was observed on Thursday.

Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah who was a dental surgeon by profession, was a close associate and an adviser to her elder brother Father of the Nation Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

She played an important role in Pakistan movement.

After inception of Pakistan, she co-founded the Pakistan Women's Association which significantly played an integral role in the settlement of the migrants.

Fatima Jinnah, one of the most honoured national leaders died in Karachi on this day in 1967.
