Nandipur Power Project fully functional: Abid
Minister of State for Water and Power says 425 MW project has been made functional at a cost of Rs 58 billion.
Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said the Nandipur Power Project is fully functional and all media reports about its failure are baseless.
He was talking to newsmen at the Nandi Pur Power Plant near Gujranwala on Thursday afternoon.
He said this 425 megawatts project has been made functional at a cost of fifty eight billion rupees.
He said the contractors had run away in previous government's tenure but PML (N) Government took measures to revive this project to fulfill its promise to people.
Abid Sher Ali said this project is providing electricity at the rate of over eleven point three rupees per unit rather than forty two rupees per unit as claimed by the PTI.
