Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif says the traffic system in major cities of province including Lahore is needed to be set on modern lines.

He was chairing a meeting in Lahore through video link on Thursday to discuss reforms in the traffic system.

The Chief Minister directed to devise short, medium and long term plans for re-engineering of traffic system in the province.

He directed to bring all the traffic related departments under one roof.

The Chief Minister also directed to take immediate measures for adopting On-Camera Traffic Ticket System.

He asked to prepare a feasible pilot project to keep motorcyclists only in a single lane on the road.

Shahbaz Sharif directed the Steering Committee to review the proposals and submit the final recommendations in three weeks.
