Pakistan has always talked about nuclear free zone in the region to stop arms race. Our neighbor has never accepted this position of Pakistan. Pakistan has always built its weapons under compulsion and in response to India. Pakistan’s military has always shown great skills whenever it is needed. Also, our naval forces has performed exceptionally well and played their part in defence of the country.

Admiral Rtd. Ahmad Tasnim- Defence Analyst

It is a pleasant day for entire nation because only few countries have this capability. Our scientists, SPD and navy have played a significant role in this regard. Pakistan navy has always worked silently and render its services for Pakistan. When I was in navy, we used to help people in Makran, Baluchistan. We used to take part in developmental projects and medical camps.

Pakistan is considered a peace loving country. Defence capabilities are required to deter the enemy from materializing its nefarious designs. The experiment executed today is a success story. This has given Pakistan a second strike capability. This is a weapon of last resort and we will use it for deterrence purposes.

Javed Khan Jadoon- IR Expert

It is significant achievement made by Pakistan. Few days back, India achieved second strike capability as it has always been trying to maximize its capabilities. By making Shaheen 3, Pakistan neutralized Indian second strike capability. Pakistan does not have aggressive designs against any country. However, in response to Indian cold start doctrine, Pakistan has come up with tactical nuclear weapons to deter New Delhi. Now, India cannot even think to attack Pakistan. Today, Pakistan has sent a message that it is fully capable of giving a befitting reply to any aggression by India.
