CM directs to take steps for making Sindh free of polio
Syed Murad Ali Shah renews govt’s commitment to eradicate menace of polio from province.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed officials concerned to take needed steps for making the province free of polio.
Chairing a high level meeting in Karachi on Monday morning, he renewed the government’s commitment to eradicate the menace of polio from the province.
Briefing the meeting, Coordinator Polio Programme Fayaz Jatoi informed that at present there exist a total of nineteen polio cases in the country, including eight cases each in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Out of eight polio cases in Sindh, one exists in Karachi and seven in rural areas of the province.
