All basic facilities being provided to newly merged districts of KP: Governor

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman says all out efforts are being made to provide basic facilities including health and education to the people of newly merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Addressing students in Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan today, he said ninety five percent work on merger of tribal areas with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been completed.

He said only four departments including Police, Revenue, Courts and Tax are still to be merged in the provincial secretariat.

The Governor said Police and court system will be introduced in the districts with consensus and local people will be recruited in the law enforcement agencies.

He said that no tax will be imposed in the newly merged districts during next four years.

Addressing the ceremony, Inspector General Frontier Corps (South) Major General Abid Latif said work is in progress on improvement of communication system in South Waziristan.

He said new roads are being constructed and mobile towers installed in the area.
