According to a study by a US Institute, the US led war on terrorism has killed over five hundred thousand people in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan post 9/11 attacks.
The study conducted by Brown University states the deaths over the past two years has shown a twenty two percent increase.
It shows the death toll includes civilians, security personnel and the militants.
The report says the number of indirect deaths was several times larger than deaths caused by direct war violence, bringing the total death count to well over one million people.
It says fatalities in Afghanistan, as of October 2018, stood at about 147,000 people.
