The 19th death anniversary of famous folk singer, Pathanay Khan was observed on Saturday.

Pathanay Khan has mostly sung Kafiis based on based upon the poetry of Baba Bullay Shah, Khuwaja Ghulam Fareed, Mehar Ali Shah and many other popular poets.

He was born in Muzaffargarh in 1926 .

He died due to illness in his native town, Kot Addu on March 9, 2000. Government of Pakistan awarded him with Pride of Performance in 1979.
