The Met Office has forecast rain thunderstorm with gusty winds at scattered places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Gujranwala and Sargodha Divisions besides Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next twelve hours.

Hot and dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Wednesday morning was:

Islamabad 15 degree centigrade, Lahore and Peshawar 21, Karachi 28, Quetta 14, Murree 11, Gilgit 8, and Muzaffarabad 17 degree centigrade.

According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country and likely to persist during next 24 hours. Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan and adjoining areas.
