In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two hundred and eight billion rupees have been allocated for annual development programme for the new financial year.

Addressing a post budget press conference in Peshawar on Thursday, Provincial Finance Minister Muzafar Said Advocate said eighty one percent of this amount will be spent on the completion of ongoing schemes to give quick relief to the people.

The Minister said eighty percent of the funds have been allocated for health, education and maintaining law and order situation in the province.

He said the greater circular railway project connecting Peshawar with Nowshera, Mardan and Swabi will be completed in the new fiscal year.

Muzafar Said Advocate said work on rapid bus transit project Peshawar will begin in August this year. It will be completed in eight months.
