Qatar says efforts to isolate it are endangering stability in the Gulf region.

Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani told newsmen in Doha today that his country is a platform for peace, not terrorism. He said Qatar will not change its foreign policy to settle the dispute and would never compromise.

Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt severed relations with Doha early this week, accusing it of supporting extremist forces in the region.
