Pakistan urges ICJ to hold early hearing in Kulbhushan Jadhav's case
A meeting took place in The Hague today between the President of the International Court of Justice, Ronny Abraham, and the delegations of India and Pakistan to discuss the timelines in the Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav case.
The delegation of Pakistan was led by Attorney General of Pakistan, Ashtar Ausaf Ali. The Attorney General urged the Court to adopt an expedited timetable with a view for an early substantive hearing. The Attorney General informed the International Court of Justice of Pakistan's intent to appoint a judge Ad Hoc who will sit on the bench of the Court for all proceedings in this case, including the substantive hearing.
