North Korea test fired several short-range land-to-ship cruise missiles off its east coast early this morning.

South Korea's Office of Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement that the missiles were launched from the coastal city of Wonsan that flew about two hundred kilometres.

Meanwhile, South Korea has said that it will hold off installing remaining components of a controversial U.S. anti-missile defence system until it completes an assessment of the system's impact on the environment.
