Minister of State for Health Saira Afzal Tarar says government is striving to ensure provision of better healthcare facilities to masses at their door step.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Thursday, She said the government has prepared health vision with help of all provincial governments to cater needs of treatment for people of country.

She said elimination of polio is focus of attention of the government and immense strides have been achieved in this regard.

The Minister of State said that transparent, qualified and professional personals have been appointed in different medical councils.

She informed that the vaccination process has been improved and mechanized to the international standers.

She said that 55.4 billion rupees have been allocated for health sector in the next budget of fiscal year, which is an increase of 77 percent.
