The first international football match is being played at Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium in Karachi this evening as seven international footballers including former Brazilian Footballers Ronaldinho and Carlos have arrived in Pakistan.  Ronaldinho will lead one team while the other team will be led by Ryan Giggs. Both the teams will be a mix-up of foreign and local players. Ronaldinho will lead the team which will play two matches during its visit to Pakistan. CEO Leisure Leagues, Ishaq Shah said that this event will help in many ways to promote the game of football in Pakistan The second match will be played in Lahore on Sunday.

Topic 03: PTTF announces events schedule

Pakistan table tennis association (PTTF) has announced the events schedule till December. General Secretary PTTF Khawaja Hassan Wadood said that master cup table tennis championship being organized by Quetta table tennis association would be held in Quetta from July 26 to 28. National junior & cadet championship would be held in Karachi from August 20 to 23.  Master cup will be held in Lahore from September 23 to 26. Master table tennis cup to be held in Multan from November 23 to 26. The 54th national senior table tennis championship organized by Sindh table tennis association would be held in Karachi from December 27 to 31.

Virat Kohli hit a commanding, unbeaten 111 to lead India to a series-clinching eight-wicket win over the West Indies in the fifth and final one-day international at Sabina Park. Responding to the home side’s modest total of 205 for nine after Captain Jason Holder chose to bat first in Jamaica, the visitors’ skipper ensured that his team will get over the line with ease in the 37th over to give India a 3-1 series triumph.

Topic 05: Vettel fastest in 3rd and final practice ahead of qualifying

Ferrari got a boost as Sebastian Vettel posted the fastest time ahead of both Mercedes cars in the third and final practice session for the Austrian Grand Prix ahead of qualifying later Saturday. Vettel finished 0.269 seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton, who had topped both of Friday's practice sessions, and .423 ahead of Valtteri Bottas. Kimi Raikkonen had the fourth quickest time, but spent less time on track after his team worked on his Ferrari at the start of practice. Nearing the end of the session, Hamilton went off the track with some smoke pouring out the side of his car.  Toto Wolff, the team's head of motorsport, watched glum-faced from the team's motorhome as the car was wheeled back to the garage.

Topic 06: Federer, Djokovic highlight Wimbledon's 3rd-round schedule

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are among the players whose Wimbledon third-round matches are scheduled to be completed before the tournament heads to its traditional break on the middle Sunday. For the first time in 33 years, a pair of brothers will both be competing in the third round at the All England Club. Back in 1984, it was Tim and Tom Gullickson. This time, it's 10th-seeded Alexander Zverev and his older sibling, 27th-seeded Mischa. Mischa plays seven-time champion Federer on Centre Court on Saturday. Alexander faces Sebastian Ofner, a 21-year-old Austrian qualifier who is ranked only 217th.

Topic 07: Williams legally entered intersection before crash: Police

Tennis star Venus Williams legally entered an intersection but was cut off by another car, setting off a chain of events that seconds later resulted in a fatal crash with a third car, police say video released Friday shows. The video, taken by a security camera, shows Williams heading north as she stops her 2010 Toyota Sequoia SUV at a stoplight behind a white car as she exits her Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood shortly after 1 p.m. June 9. When the light turns green, the white car turns left onto a six-lane, heavily traveled boulevard, but Williams heads straight. A dark colored sedan turns left in front of her, causing her to stop.
