Power generation is being increased at a fast pace and Govt successfully heading towards elimination of load-shedding: PM

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif says his government is successfully heading towards permanently eliminating load shedding from the country. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of 760-megawatt first unit of Haveli Bahadur Shah near Jhang. The Prime Minister said power generation is being increased at a fast pace, which will boost industry, agriculture, and trade. He said completion of the first unit of this power project in twenty-one months is unbelievable. He said the government is also working to provide electricity to people at affordable price. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said our foes are disturbed over unprecedented development being made during PML-N era in the country in all fields.

NSC reaffirms resolve to eliminate terrorism- No other country in the world has done as much for global safety and security as Pakistan at a huge cost of both men and material

National Security Committee (NSC) has reiterated that regional peace and progress are directly linked to resolution of all outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir. The Committee met with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in the chair in Islamabad on Friday. The forum said no other country in the world has done as much for global safety and security as Pakistan at a huge cost of both men and material. The participants said Pakistan has acted as a frontline state in global counterterrorism efforts with unparalleled sacrifices and successes.

Martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani being observed today

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and elsewhere in the world are marking the first martyrdom anniversary of Kashmiri freedom fighter Burhan Muzaffar Wani on today. The anniversary is being observed with a renewed pledge to continue the mission of martyrs till success of the struggle for liberation of Kashmir.
