Marriyum urges JIT to record Qatari prince's statement
She says nation to celebrate 70th Independence Day with traditional zeal and zest.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says the JIT report on Panama papers would be incomplete without the statement of Prince Hammad Bin Jassim.
In an interview, she said it is strange that the JIT has summoned all the people, even those whose names were not mentioned in Panama Papers, but did not record the statement of Hammad Bin Jassim.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said the continuous leaks of summons to Sharif family, letters to prince, Hussain Nawaz's picture and Whatsapp call controversy have raised questions on the JIT's credibility.
Meanwhile, in a statement, the Minister of State for Information said the nation will celebrate 70th Independence Day with traditional zeal and zest.
She said Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television will broadcast special programs on the occasion.
Pakistan National Council of Arts and Lok Virsa will also organize events pertaining to Independence Day celebrations.
Marriyum Aurangzeb lauded the role of Radio Pakistan in preparations for the Independence Day celebrations.
