The Executive Board of World Bank has approved construction of five power projects in Pakistan.

The projects include Gul Ahmad wind power limited; Tenaga Generasi limited wind power project, Gulpur hydro project, Sindh Public Sector Reform project and Tarbela IV extension project.

On completion, these projects are likely to add over ten thousand megawatts electricity to the national grid.

In a statement, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar appreciated World Bank's decision to   approve these projects.

He said the approval was manifestation of the confidence of international organizations in the Pakistan's economy.
