Tribal elders of Bajaur Agency have expressed the resolve to continue support to the security forces in fight against terrorism.

They expressed the resolve while addressing a tribal jirga in Khar, Bajaur Agency on Sunday.

The elders also vowed to enhance their anti-militant activities in the region.

They also thanked Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif for taking keen interest in development of tribal areas.

Addressing the Jirga, Commandant Bajaur Scouts Col Mir Amir Ali said that support and cooperation of local people is essential to defeat terrorism and militancy.

He said the security forces have fulfilled their responsibility to restore peace and writ of the government in the agency and now this is the duty of local people to maintain it.

He urged the people to work for promotion of peace and stability in the area.
